When your child is ill or injured you would travel to the ends of the earth to ensure that your child receives the best medical care available. That treatment and care can be found at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Located in the heart of the capital of the United States, Children's offers international patients world-renowned pediatric care accompanied by compassionate personal assistance. Over the years we have provided specialized pediatric care to hundreds of children from more than 30 countries.
Parents around the world need and want to be involved in the medical care of their children. Beginning with their initial contact with Children's from their native land, during the child's stay at Children's and continuing after the family returns home, the International Program staff carefully coordinates all aspects of the child' care. We start with a careful review of the child's medical history, understanding the important role listening plays in making the correct diagnosis. Children's then develops a treatment plan and schedules all necessary physician visits and procedures. We assist with all travel arrangement, including obtaining proper travel documentation, transportation from the airport, accommodations, and arranging an interpreter to serve as a personal liaison during a family's stay. We are also sensitive to the family's culture and language, and incorporate these elements into every child's treatment plan to ensure that the entire family feels at home and comfortable.
